About
Alexander Technique Residential Courses
For most people who are having or have had
lessons in the Alexander Technique, the 30-40 minutes
lesson-time is very focused on the study of the main
principles of "inhibition" and "direction" with the help of
the teacher's hands. Without this individual attention it is
difficult for someone to experience just what is meant by
these words.
To then go on and discover how to apply what
we are learning to daily life can be a slow and sometimes
lonely process.
The idea behind these residential courses is
to provide a supportive environment in which it is possible,
through a range of different activities and through
interaction with other people, to explore our "use" in
situations which resemble daily life more than a typical
Alexander lesson can.
For
teachers and 9th term trainees there will also be plenty of
opportunities for guided hands-on work.
These courses provide an
exciting opportunity for making new discoveries.
